The Saturday before Palm Sunday, we went to the park that is about 5 minutes walk from our flat to join other international students for an outdoor get-together. There were about 40 of us. We arrived about 11:30 and most were already sledding down the well-packed hills. A fire had been started for warmth, on top of the snow. By the time we left, the fire was sitting in a hole about 3 feet deep. That's a lot of packed-down snow. Mike took a sled and went to the top of one of the shorter runs.
