Our trip home from Kristiansand was just the reverse from the trip there--24 hours on train, and then a short flight from Bodø to Tromsø. We tried to take some photos of the area where we crossed the arctic circle, but the quality one gets through the window of a moving train is not so great. There is a sort of Quonset-hut-type welcome center for those traveling on the highway, and there is a pyramidal stack of stones to "mark the spot" so to speak.
The skies were clear on the flight home, so we got some neat pictures as we approached Tromsø. The camera battery finally gave out just before we landed. Now that's planning!
