Hello again all,

I still can't get the pictures to have titles/captions, so here is a sampling of some of the views around the island. The camera does not do justice to them. They are so incredibly beautiful. I would not have thought that anything could be this beautiful this side of heaven. See for yourself.

Apartment in Tromso

Hi, everyone,

I am trying to update this blog and include pictures with titles/captions so that you will know what they are. I am going to try this with some pictures of the apartment. If if worked, then I 'll start posting pictures of the most beautiful spot that you can imagine. The orientation week is coming to a close, and we begin to prepare for the beginning of classes. I will meet with my research advisor on monday to find out what will be happening. More later, but for now-the apartment.

Arrival in Tromso

Hello everybody,

I arrived in Tromso on Monday afternoon, and have now finally got the internet connected. I will post pictures for the first day now and update over the next few days to bring everbody (both of you) up to date. The flight was long, and Tromso is beautiful. The people at the University have been wonderful, and I can hardly wait to begin my studies. The only thing that dampers my spirit is missing Mary so much, but she will be here soon and then I can smile again. These are pictures at the airport showing the mountains around Tromso.
